The BDC is an entrepreneurial business incubator serving startup and existing small businesses in the Upper Coastal Plain Region of Eastern North Carolina. Our primary service area covers Edgecombe, Halifax, Nash, Northampton and Wilson Counties, but our services are available to any small business needing advice and support regardless of their location.

We offer turnkey office space equipped with all the startup essentials, so you don’t have to worry about setting up and contracting for telephones and fax, utilities, Internet, copy center, or receptionist. Our meeting rooms are well-equipped and professional settings for making presentations to prospective customers or conducting training sessions. You also have the advantage of on-site counseling and advisors who can assist in business planning, marketing and promotion, market intelligence and analysis, market entry and growth strategies, and access to potential funding sources.
